Controlled Burn
Surveillance Practices | F15
Professor Brian Osborn
Three colleagues (H. Barefoot, L. Harris, and B.K. Walker) and I carried out a small burn experiment at Milton Airfield, just outside of Charlottesville, VA. We prepped our 10' x 10' site together and then each pursued our own set of observations based on our topic of interest. These included the presence of carbon in the landscape, the movement of air / atmosphere, energy exchange and ground condition, and soil fertility.
